i had a little current adjustment on my F5. well. a little is from 0.8A to 1A pr Device. and a dual device amp. damn. it will sound more relax🙂
now it is a 2 pair, 1A pr pair 24Vdc amp. alot like the F5turbo v1. offsett stays about 0.01 to 0.1V. temp is easy 45-50C on the sinks. no more. oh. the sinks are 10.080" 6" USA heatsinks. 2 pr side. now its about 2A pr side. the f5 is good with this🙂
now its been a week.
from 1.7A to 2.6A. the amp is a lot more lelaxed. a smoother sound. but the temp did not rise to much🙂
those heatsink USA profiles are very good.
as it it is: 53c and 24c room temp. so. 29c above.

well. i did get to test those USA heatsinks. i have 2 10.080" 6" pr ch. and i i am now running 2.7A at +/-23VDC. thats 124W pr side. and the sinks are below 30c above ambiant at everyting but optimum🙂
so a 250W monoblock is realy NO problem. what so ever.

Details please 🙂 Inquirying mind want to know...
(I am about to start my own F5 once parts start to trickle in...)

Maybe you will post FFTs showing the distortion spectrum at different bias levels?

if i only could.
But its very simple on non bridged amps. You need only:
Fullduplex soundcard on your PC
Download ARTA from artalabs.hr
(You can use this software without registration for free)
Dummy load resistor
The ARTA manual shows how to connect.

Distortion measurement using ARTA
AudioSan and AndrewT, I know you are one of the most skilled members here. I followed several threads since years and learned a lot from your posts (and sometimes funny discussions).
Having this in mind, I will try to explain:
Hardware:
Compaq 610 Laptop
TERRATEC DMX6FireUSB Soundcard
Software:
Windows 7
ARTA from ARTA Software
Wiring:

For R2 I use a 10k poti. This helps to adjust the input level for the soundcard in order to stay around 0dBFS. The attentuation in dB is not important to know.
For RL (Dummy Load) I use 4.1R/100W Resistor on a heat sink.
And I didn´t use the diodes, but you have to be carefull when testing at high output levels!
A DMM is used to measure the Voltage across the RL. This is needed to know at what level of amp output power the measurement is done.
The best way to learn how to use ARTA for this measurement please refer to the ARTA user manual, section 2, Spectrum analyzer.
This is an example of my F5Turbo_V3 at 2.4A Bias, at 5,66Vrms in 4,1ohm which gives 7,8Wrms:

Please don´t hesitate to ask more detailed questions.
