I'd love to hear thoughts on the attached circuit. It's intended for multi-amping a 5 way horn system in summer... hence the emphasis is on the first watt, with hopefully not many more burned up as heat. May also go for a hefty SLA battery supply...
Thus the single ended configuration and output transformer. The biasing is obviously affected by the DCR of the primary so some means of adjustment may be required.
There is also the tantalising possibility of inverting the device polarities and trying a Semisouth part on the output (which means I'd be in for 10 units on the GB... thankfully I'm more accustomed to buying old triodes). Any idea how well these might perform at 1A to 1.4A dissipation?
Any advice or warnings extremely appreciated!

The transformer design is actually the bit I'm most confident about - it will be suitably airgapped to handle the standing current and bifilar wound for good bandwidth. Given this is for multiamping, I intend to size the transformer for each frequency band covered, so the treble amp will have a smaller device that should be good out to 150kHz+.
Am I on a reasonable path otherwise? I will try and cobble a resistively loaded version (with negative power supply) to see how that might behave while I finalise the transformer designs.
