hi
i have the F5 for 3 years, and i love it. but i figure the big understand come from the source\speakers.
yesterday i build LM1875 AMP, so why not compere it with the F5, for the fun 🙂
PC>DAC>F5>fostex en 206
PC>DAC>LM1875>fostex en 206
before the compere i was sure that the differences It's negligible.
first impression the LM sound with lot of Detail, but after 10 min i understand.
the F5 is so sweet, warm, and all the Detail are there.
the LM1875 was too screamy in the high frequency. and the bass was weak.
this is the first time that i Understand the capabilities of the F5.

Do the drums help with the bottom end?
Me, I have large quartz crystal bowls. They sing nicely when Jack barks.
