F5 V3 build

I have recently finished constructing an F5 amp . Initial testing revealed a
substantial 50 Hz hum . I worked out it was coming from the transformer and built a separate power supply . Amp is now free from hum and hiss and is performing very well . Should I be content or could I reestablish single chassis
amp mounting the Toroid in a cast aluminium box .

I do not have a photo , the transformer was initially mounted horizontally

I tried mounting vertically , with no reduction in the hum . Then hand held vertically and rotated with no decrease in hum level . The transformer was isolated from the chassis with neoprene washers except for the mounting bolt .
I have purchased a die-cast alumina box (Al+Cu+Zn) and will install the transformer within .

F5 build progress

I have reestablished onboard power supply . The amplifier is happy as am I ,
the 50 Hz hum was caused by a dry joint between circuit earth and chassis
earth . The amp is now noiseless , no 50hz hum and no residual rectification
noise (100hz) .
