Well if I redo the PSU, do I get another set of psu boards and another 300VA xformer or just replace the existing with a 600VA unit?
It would be easy to add another 22,000 uF per rail.
Recommended 300VA per channel?

Dan,
I would personally go for the 470000uf panasonic one's on Ebay.
2pcs Panasonic Radial Capacitors 47000uf 25v 85C - eBay (item 200449742234 end time Apr-12-10 09:54:46 PDT)
I've bought other stuff from this guy before. Quick service.
I use 4x 47000uf Panasonic's in my F5. Under load, the are 22.5v on V+, at least on mine.
Thanks for the link! Just ordered 10

With that much capacitance don't forget the soft-start thermistors, or you'll own stock in a fuse company.

These are "general purpose" quality.
An F5 deserves better than this. Something like high ripple, low ESR.
Quantity does not replace quality .
Which "these" are you referring to?
Hi.I am selling some new Kendeils and i am going to use them for my F5 amplifier too. They are great quality made in Italy capacitors and the stock is going down day by day http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/swap-meet/163913-50v-68000uf-kendeil-caps-sale-2.html
Those Panasonic one were speaking about.
Doesn't the First Watt F5 use general purpose Panasonic Capacitors?

I do not think so.

They are Panasonic THSA (Datasheet says "with high ripple current capability") and they are reasonably priced:
Panasonic TSHA
I do not think so.
It appears First Watt uses capacitors with 85c ratings. As fas as I can tell the 15,000uf/25v is only available in TS-UP and TS-UQ series which are both general purpose.
If they're good enough for First Watt, I think they're good enough for anybody here.

I'm using those TSHAs and have Zero complaints.
8 x 22,000uF 35V 105*, solid bass and highs as light and clear as a snowflake. Thanks Papa!
