F5 output stage

Is the F5 output stage a common sourse amplifier and not a source follower? The output looks to me like the signal exits the drain and the ballasting resistors are on the sources. Does the output stage have both current and voltage gain??? So if I understand this correctly the F5 will maintain absolute phase from input to output, is this correct?

Yes, the output stage has (inverting) voltage gain. Two inverting stages means that,
overall, the amp is non-inverting. That's why the feedback is returned to the sources
of the input devices, where it will be negative.

Thanks guys. I am used to seeing output stage followers in solid state amps and a common sorce push-pull output seems kind of cool. Mr. pass has designed such a beautifully simple circuit that I think it's time to build a F5 turbo V2.
