I am populating a cviller board... the sgd labeling on the board seems backwards according to the Toshiba data sheet. Do I need to turn them around or am I missing something? The g label makes sense, it's the s and d that seem backwards.
Thanks,

The boards are designed for IRFP240/9240, the drain and source will be reversed with Toshiba FETS
Hi,
2SK1530 and IRFP240 have the same pinout

(or see datasheets)
I think he's refering to the jfets 😉

Hi Hannes,
You are correct, my apologies for misinformation, I should have double checked before posting.

If you hold the JFET with the legs down and the flat side facing you, the drain is on the left, this appears to match the PCB

This clearly shown on the Tosh datasheet. If you hold the JFET with the legs down and the flat side facing you, the drain is on the left, this appears to match the PCB
Why are you confused?
What are you misunderstanding?
Toshiba 2sk170
The Toshiba 2sk170 sheet I found shows the drain on the right when facing the flat...
the Toshiba 2sj74 sheet implies the same.
Thanks,
DB

Actually...
I was confusing myself...
I was reading the Tosh data sheet as if it was showing a view from the top...
not from underneath (the pin side).
I hope you'll all at least get a laugh out of it.
Thanks,

It's not a laughing matter.
Draughtsmen have to be trained to do their job. They can get it wrong on a Monday morning.
