Then you probably don't need any gain with 3.6Vrms.
At the very most 6dB but I doubt even that much would be required.

I'd like to go for tube voltage gain + F4, so I thought at Aikido (octal or noval?) but I will consider any other 15/20 dB gain schematic that you suggest me 🍻
well, what's boob or two, between friends

Yes, you can start with aikidoAikido is outstanding, I enthusiastically recommend it.![]()
And once you have it then go for all the DHT preamps 😀😀😀
I love DHTs
(I had a 300B SET) but those schematics seem to have too low gain for this purpose...I'd like to go for tube voltage gain + F4, so I thought at Aikido (octal or noval?) but I will consider any other 15/20 dB gain schematic that you suggest me 🍻
Or BA-2 and throw in Nutube build for the tube sound. I built the F4 first but having multiple amplifiers I like having about the same gain in amplifiers for convenience swapping in and out so I changed the F4 into the BA-2 with BA-3 front end. Not hard to do later. For you the F4 with your choice of tube gain may be what you are looking for though.

With the speakers you have even 6dB will be enough so just choose the preamp circuit you think will sound best.
I run my F4 with 0dB gain.
It's not that bad, since Ale's designs are Mu-followers, you are basically getting MU of used DHT. With both 01a and 4P1L you are in 18-19 db gain territory. You might not get 100% of power (based on your source), but you can get nearby.I love DHTs (I had a 300B SET) but those schematics seem to have too low gain for this purpose...
Besides as have been said, it's already plenty for most use-cases and I like how all the gain is done in single part.
