Hello everyone .
I 've been reading for some time this stunning forum and i need an advice for my setup.
I own these Klipsch speakers :
View attachment RF62.pdf
I have them paired with a vintage integrated Pioneer A-717 amp and the sound i get is quite aggressive especially at the top end and ear-fatigue after extensive listening .
While they are sensitive speakers they seem to be at the bright side and many say that matching them with a tube amp or tube preamp combined with the appropriate amp would make them sound less harsh at high freq - overall sweeter dynamic transparent rich sound is what i am looking for .
What i have done so far is build an Aikido preamp and bypass linestage circuit of my current amp using it as a power amp , which showed some improvement but there is still room for improvement towards my aim for better sound quality .
I am leaning towards the idea to use Aikido combined with F4 as this amp seems -from what i have read when matched with an adequate gain preamp - to be musical , described as 'darker' 'tube sound' and work well with high db horn speakers .
What do more experienced people think ?Am i looking at the right direction ?
Any ideas and suggestions would be highly appreciated - 🙂
Thanks

That's a good sign .

Forgot to mention aikido gain 20db .
What about these alternatives :
1. aikido + ba3 fe + f4 crippled + Klipsch
2. aikido + dcb1 mez + F5 + Klipsch ?
3. aikido + se tube amp + Klipsch ?
Any corrections / alternatives welcome.

1. first two are mutually excluding
2.aikido slightly on highish gain than needed side , dcb1 on lowish gain than needed side , also as in case#1
3.your call for decision
just make proper common F4 and enjoy
