Re: Speaker recommendation
First off, what kind of car and processing do you have at your disposal?
Those Fostex could work as midranges, but you would still want some midbass drivers to fill in to where the sub picks up.

Thank you. This doesn't look too complicated at first glance. I might give it a try.
Guys,
Can you recommend a speaker system that will work well with F2 in a car? I propose FE126/7 as front speaker and subwoofer at the back but was shoot down by the caraudio guys because they said Fostex are not built for car environment. At home, I love to listen to my Coral Flat8A in a big bass reflex enclosure. Any idea?
Thanks.
I have a small 4door saloon. It comes with standard CD player and four speaker (two front + two rear). I'm starting fresh, so I thought it would be great to bring the F2 performance into my car. Crash boom bang type of sound is not needed here.
How long will fostex last in car environment? The original fullrange front speaker sit on a smallish 1~2 litre enclosure at the door panel. So I thought FE126/7 would be an exact fit.
What do you think of this speaker? It seems to be build for car.

I have tested F2 with Tangband W3-871. It is not a good match for F2 and also the low effiency does not help much.
Thanks.
