The last side of 1/4 in. x 6 in. red oak is glued and clamped and I finally made it to a hardwood store to pick up some red oak milled boards to make the fascia. They didn't have 1 1/16 in. thick like I used with the other enclosure so I bought some 1 5/16 inch instead.
I would like them to match but no one but me will know unless I put them right next to each other, and I won't. Really nice boards though, it should turn out nice.

I had stained them but hadn't done a good enough sanding job and they turned out with a few blotches and noticeable scratches. I sanded them back down and re-applied the stain.
Much better result. The harsh direct sun accentuates a golden brown that doesn't show in the house, it looks darker and closer to an ebony stain.
I would have liked to try stopping at 120 grit in order to soak up more stain but I am happy with 180.
I have never worked with DuraSeal Quick Coat Penetrating Finish before. It is a stain but includes filler and doesn't even need a finish coat. I will use one though, just haven't decided what to use yet.
My wife prefers the grain pattern on what I had planned for the bottom so these may be flipped before I install the Neutrik speakON Chassis Mount.

Extra-long big binding posts for woofer/sub with the typical DIY looks and 4x speakons (NL4FX males) with connecting Tasker cables that look more professional.😉

It was never about what looks better, it was the flexibility of moving the subs from room to room without having to rewire speaker wire that in some cases is in wall. It can be done, just a little more work. I have used both depending on application.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I put most of my upgraded Family Room system together today and will try and calibrate everything tomorrow. I needed a Center Channel stand for my Dynaudio Contour 20 and since 2-channel is the priority, I'm not too worried about the center. The 32W is the perfect height and depth. I put Fat Dots under both subs and under the Monitors.
I put the 2nd 32W in a corner and will experiment a bit although there are not a lot of options.

looks good SeaTac, sound impressions?
I hope to run set up on my Preamp tomorrow. Haven't fired them up yet.
Thanks.

Ran Anthem Room Correction, Genesis version, on my STR Preamp today. The monitor's to subwoofer integration sounds fantastic with the subwoofers working subtly as intended.
Next I'll put the Anthem in Home Theater Bypass mode and run Audyssey MultEQ® XT32 speaker calibration from my Denon AVR. That will show what the subs can do for movies but I'm already satisfied that they work and blend really well for 2-channel, my goal.

I've really been enjoying the subs for music through my STR Preamp and finally got around to running Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 on my Denon AVR-X6500H a few weeks ago. I tested an Atmos 4K Blu-Ray the other night that is frequently mentioned as a nice bass demo movie. I wasn't all that impressed with the movie but the bass caught me off guard. I was worried things would start falling off shelves and my dogs would pee themselves.
The subs weren't selected for movie playback but they delivered with more punch than I expected and didn't blow up. Not bad for a couple 13 inch subs, as Scan-Speak names them. (Technically measured at 12.6 inches)
