Oh cool.
A few years ago I got a call from a local guy who wanted to come to my shop and blow up parts so he could record the sounds. Wanted to use the sounds in production of some sort. I told him he was welcome to come over, but in my experience, parts don't make good noises. A pop or snap sound. At best a quick pfft. Adding video makes it more worthwhile.

Had one go off while I was working on some unit, and it nicked my ear on the way across the shop.
The same guys did Pyrex jugs exploding with the shutter speed on flat out in full sun.
It is most likely still on there U-tube site.

I had one blow up once and I nicked my ear on my way across the shop.I’ve had them blow up in old equipment and also just make a fart noise and smell even worse!
Last time I had one pop was maybe 10 years ago. You shouldn't put them in backwards.Nice. I've only seen them blow up in real-time before now.
I have a nice video of another guys work with smoke escaping. You also shouldn't replace
a 180uF 160 V cap with 1800 at 16V. Physical size was similar but...
