I've bought a pair of EV ZXA1 speakers. I've read various comments about their hiss: some people say they are noisy, other people say their ones are quiet.
My speakers are more noisy than I could expect, so I've made some tests. I've found about 40~42 dBspl 1W/1m , with a max between 2 and 8kHz. Removing the 22uF capacitor in series to the IRS2092 input resistor (inverting input, virtual ground like in OP-AMPs) noise is only 3~4dB weaker.
I'm a 30 years experienced technician. I'd like to understand why hiss is so loud and doing something to solve the problem. I haven't found the schematic. Does anyone have it or he knows where to get it?
Thanks!
