Hey, it seems the UK came bottom in this contest tonight, with zero points!
Was it because the song was useless?
or,
The whole of Europe hates us?
I hope it's #1...😱
At least Belgium came 2nd 🙂

For the first time in many years I accidentally witness the score.
Didn't hear the British song. Must have been real bad, cause we like you, don't worry.
😉
/Hugo - twelve points - douze point.

Cheers,
Sweden came at 5th position, not so bad.
England was so stinking bad, bad, bad!
England, the leading nation besides USA in pop music: Is this tune the BEST England can produce? Did anyone notice Austria? Wonderfull, as Greece last(?) year with the guys in black boots and marching dance.
The event is over and noone remembers the songs. Noone in Sweden listens to "schlager" as we say. This kind of music is hot only at one time per year.
Those were the days when ABBA won......those days are gone
EDIT: I admit: I saw it

Let me get this straight. You are longing for the heyday of ABBA?

From this and other posts from German and Scandinavian DIYers, might I assume that "schlager" is the word over there for what we in the USA call "schlock"? That is, cliche lyrics, unimaginative song construction, and a huge production with the record generally ending with what sounds like a full orchestra giving it a big, big finish?
Barry Manilow

I was in Europe the past few weeks, where this seemed to be Really Big News. Those Russian jailbait lesbos are hot, but what awful music.

Yeah, they are really turning up the heat on Brittany and Christina. If our pop sluts want to compete they know what they have to do... 😀
Let's get it on...

Why didn't we enter Lulu? Last time she entered, she won, and she can still belt it out with the best of 'em.
Speaking of spelling..
I still fancy her😉 But that's ma'age...
Cheers,
