These are currently available from Madisound (I did not look for other sources).
I, too, was intrigued about the potential low 40's f3 in a sealed box.
I'm currently fiddling with the crossovers (to a Dynaudio D28/2) in a two-way system.
The Etons, to my ears, have a very clear and smooth characteristic. The system still needs dialing-in, but so far, so good.
I'm used to vented designs, typically larger, in pursuit of the bottom octave, so these are a bit of a departure for me.

Thanks for the alert. I'm now trying to land a used pair... The page suggests sealed cabs but the published FR chart doesn't seem to support 40s usage sealed, -12dB infinite volume. Please help me understand this. Also, XO low-pass info/experience appreciated.I, too, was intrigued about the potential low 40's f3 in a sealed box.

Is there something wrong with this 8" driver's response curve? Infinite baffle, 700L. Eyeballing: inflextion 120hz -3dB; 85hz -6dB; 55hz -10dB; 45hz -12dB; 35hz -18dB; Fr TSP 28hz, Fr 1W 25hz. Thanks.

Dunno but maybe Eton's graph is b.s. Then again, K&T's test of its brother 8-212 is in the ballpark https://www.hifitest.de/test/lautsprecherchassis-tiefmitteltoener/eton-8-212c837-hex-17177
Thanks for the reply. High-Qts 8-412 and the similar 8-512 seem to fall off 1.25-1.5 times faster in dB than the low-Qts 8-212. I had thought it should be the other way around....Dunno but maybe Eton's graph is b.s. Then again, K&T's test of its brother 8-212 is in the ballpark
I used a local version of fiberglass honeycomb 4/5.25/8" drivers whose response sounded just like the published charts of Mivoc XAW or Eve Audio which all use the same membrane material by the look of it. My drivers though cheap were made for high-end speakers; I found they could only play bass in vented (tapered TL). So I always wondered if maybe Eton engineering could do more or better. One pair of 8-412 is available for a good price but the FR fall-off is concerning so I held back....
Help appreciated @djdevelop @cgraf @soundchaser
This is a nearfield plot taken at about 3mm I think. It is 3dB down at 47Hz (so not the low 40's but low enough for me).
My Q is a bit more than .707, I never computed it. In a bit bigger box the -3dB point might be a bit lower.
These drivers are kind of unobtainium now. Sealed box drivers are not as popular as they once were although there are still some suitable ones out there.

Thanks @soundchaser I found your speakers now, looks to be -30L? That's out-of-this-world good compared to Eton's response curve! "Clean... not particularly dynmic", meaning loud passages not very loud, or generally not the most articulate/dynamically-linear?
A DXF file is attached for the box.
Nearfield response (bass only) looks like this. probably about 18+20dB higher than what it actually is. I have a baffle step at 400Hz or so. Crossover is DSP.
It's nothing extraordinary.could you show us your design with the eton ? have you got a thread about it on here ? I like sealed designs better and find it a bit frustrating there seems to be an imbalance with most drivers aimed towards vented

About 36l and yes, they're dreadful😉Thanks @soundchaser I found your speakers now, looks to be -30L? That's out-of-this-world good compared to Eton's response curve! "Clean... not particularly dynmic", meaning loud passages not very loud, or generally not the most articulate/dynamically-linear?
I just ordered a pair from Madisound. I shouldn't have. They are expensive. But I have an addiction 🙂 They arrive Monday.
Do you own a DATS? I'd be interested in seeing what shows up.
I have some 3" ETONs. They are crazy flat 2khz on down. They had a nice sound.

Yes. They'll be getting the full measurment and design treatment. I don't expect to be done for quite a while.

I haven't been able to pull the trigger, after listening to a couple of videoclips on bilibili.com (China's youtube). Heard the bass (in a high-end-ish 3-way by the importer), but not midbass, so I need to investigate further.
By the way, the breakup resonance in my other honeycomb drivers were greatly reduced by applying automotive stretchy plast-tape.

Update: added plast-tape to the 5.25" Eve Audio honeycomb's soft...Couldn't leave well enough alone... I inserted the Eve 5.25" nude driver above the 6.5" forming a 3-way LX -- Naturelle perched precariously above; their acoustic centers all lined up. Simplified the first-order XO (0.15mH->6ohm 6.5" up-firing; 0.47mH->5.25" frontal; 23.4ohm->2.7uF->8ohm Naturelle) but only had a few spare minutes to tweak. Anyway tone-sweep sounded pretty flat. If I had any sense this ought to be the end of diy.... Quite shocking how much more of musicians' intent and performance nuance came through.
A "mistaken-for-fullrange" plast-tape enhanced 4" fiberglass honeycomb:
