Although mainly of interest to Australian / New Zealanders, may be of use to others.
I had a bit of interest to a post in the Speakers forum regarding increasing the power of this popular magazine project amp, so am posting the schematic I used.
Orginal amp (with 2 pairs of output transistors option) would push about 100W into 4ohms. This modification boosts that to 200W at 4ohms and adds a bit of protection to the outputs as well.
Note that the supply voltage is increased from the original +-40V - this is acheived with a 35-0-35V transformer.
Please compare to the original circuit (posted in another thread).
Enjoy!
