ESI Juli@ - optic digital output (96kHz)

Hi,

does anybody know the reason why Juli@ is limited to 96 kHz at the Toslink output? Is it because of the used Toslink-part or is there any other reason?

The coaxial and optical outputs are connected basically in parallel. I guess the manufacturer just adheres to toslink specifications when stating the card parameters. Did you try running the toslink output at 192kHz? I do not know if Juli specifically, but other Envy24 based cards with the same SPDIF output circuit logic did OK.

No, I am looking for a card like this. I want to replace toslink with an own 1310nm singlemode optic output. If there is a limitation, I must replace the coax output. Toslink would be nice to replace without schematic 🙂
