I managed to mod my ESI Juli@ so that I can use it as an external DAC (with 8 SPDIF/TOSLINK inputs). The problem is that I forgot the output impendance should be at least 100 ohm and I used 32 ohm headphones for testing. The thing is that the right channel of the balanced outputs is fine, all the other (left channel and left/right RCA outputs) have a very low signal level (the DAC is configured with 0dB attenuation).
Do you think I busted the op-amps or there is something else wrong?

I figured it out. It seems that every output (maybe input also) has a transistor that mutes it. The problem is that I couldn't figure out where is the command given from so I removed the transistor completely and everything works well now.
