get some practice with SMD and start desoldering/soldering old computer boards or similar.
We've had quite a share of soldering related problems on the thread... but it can be done! Get the needed tools
--> fine tip, good solder and preferably a magnifying glass with a ring light!

as I already stated in the build section, I finished my last Subbu DAC and currently don't need another (was just in case it wouldn't work). So please delete me from the GB. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

C17 can also be the original tantalum 4.7 uF cap. I think it performs slightly better and definitely no risk of oscillation of the reg. You are right about the other parts, certainly C32. The 2.5 mm Wima is one of the best to be used there.
