In case of balanced version of this DAC - I have ordered 2 PCB for DAC and I am in for 2 sets of components but what about PSU - do I really need 2 or can I power up balanced DAC from 1 PSU?

From what I've read 1 PSU will be OK for balanced version.
But it's unofficial as the PSU isn't published yet.

I'm checking the availability of the parts at Mouser's.
I've got a deal to obtain parts unavailable at Mouser's.
In this view we will strictly stick to the Official BOM and reduce troubleshooting.
The GB ending is 10 July, I hope to be abble to collect the funds at this date.
We are waiting for the PSU BOM.
I think to place only one order (ES9023 + PSU), we will reduce shipping costs.

I would like to have parts too - have you considered R core tranformer form Selectronic and DAC case

Depending on the heigh, I've seen a cheap case that could do the job, Silver or Black ?
You'll have to drill the holes by yourself.

I've checked today prices for SE and BAL version, not PSU.
If you need a BAL version you need to order first a SE kit set, as BAL version is an extension of the SE initial board.
Some parts will be ordered separately, so final price will/could vary a little.

As told before, if you want a Balanced DAC you need to order SE + BAL.
APK, you mention 8*BAL DAC ; in this view you need : 8*SE + 8*BAL.
I may be wrong, so check your real needs, I'll order your asked qty 😉
I don't actually know about PSU parts price, I've mentionned 20€ as an estimate price.
It could be less or more...
I'll delay the GB ending as I really want to ship both DAC and PSU parts in one parcel.
