Hi all,
Just got an ERC stereo amplifier for 25€..
From a quick search couldn't find anything in net.
It's a 2n3055 based amplifier with BD139 & BD140.
Anyone got any feedback? Seems quite good construction with module pcbs.
Some photos attached.
Thank you

There is an audio company called ERC whether its got any relationship to your 1970,s ( first half ) amplifier I don't know.
It looks a typical badge engineered down market Japanese import , later the Japanese made big improvements .
I have seen vastly better home built by DIY Audio posters that look like they would not be out of place in some high end circles .
No offense but I stripped down ,many of those types of amplifiers for their transformers /heatsinks in the 70,s binned the rest.
There is also an audio amplifier designer in Scandinavia using the ERC label.
They look original 2N3055 BJT,s they are worth keeping as are the BD139/40 , I am sorry I cant say nice things about it I have just seen too many of that type pass through my hands , its probably built to order and imported but if anybody knows different ?
You could make a JLH class A amp out of the parts and at £25 ( not much difference in the Euro/UK Pound ) its pretty cheap .
