Hi all,
Does anyone know offhand what the 7-pin miniature equivalent of the 6AC7 pentode is? (Not 6CA7/EL34 -- 6AC7 metal pentode.)
If there's a 9-pin miniature, that would be helpful.
I remember Wavebourn once posted this info, but I seem to have misplaced my notes about it.
Thanks in advance.

There's a whole bunch of 7-pin sharp cutoff pentodes with simular specs. 6CB6A immediately come to mind. https://frank.pocnet.net/sheets/093/6/6CB6A.pdf

First stage of a push-pull UL EL84 amp, a la Dynaco ST70.
I'm finding that the 6AC7 look really good with only 3mA plate current. Better than 6AU6A.
I was looking around and it seems 6AH6 is supposed to be a direct equivalent for 6AC7.
6AC7:
6AH6:
I think that's a match.
Looks like a decent triode too.

Yeah a tiny bit more trans. So what are you going to use for the phase splitter then?
Marantz 8b used a 6BH6 triode strapped IIRC.

I was just reading about the Eniac computer, the worlds first general purpose programmable computer. It used a lot of 6AC7 tubes for logic. 6SN7 for flip flops. And heptodes for who knows what. 17,468 vacuum tubes.
