If I remember correctly , He was referenced to me by someone at klipsch canada
Who seems to be the new owners of the Energy Engineering Patents

------------------
By the way ...
I have 2 pairs of Pro 22
One I bought in the 1980's (1000$ Can)
And a second pair I found more recently, for almost nothing
They are the Studio Model that Radio-Canada had Energy adapt for them.
(Being a former IT manager , I did personally see theses working in their Studios and work shops , her in Quebec city )

The Port is in the front , and their all black

I'm currently Using the Studio models ... their GREAT

I want to improve on the highs , so I will be adding a second original Tweeter on the back of the enclosure ,
to produce a dipole tweeter effect.

So far , I have just tested this theory , with my second pair behind my mains. With Woofers deactivated :)

The results is Fantastic
The highs are still silk soft , but the dispersion is greatly improved , and the sound stage is wider & more defined
And No , their is no cancelation effect , because there not on the same dispersion plain

Have a great day

Hello everyone
If the the tweeters voice coil measure ~7k ohm (Something) , the ferrofluid may be just to old.
After 20 years or so , this can it get pretty thick , and probably gives a false reading...

You have nothing to lose , take them apart , and clean then up ... and re measure the coils
You can then re try to put in new ferrofluid
The tricky part is aligning the coils , when reassembling them

For Chris chris@abitech.ca , he's not really a guy that's respectful of his customers.
Charges more than 400$ (Can) for the restauration of a pair of tweeters

And can be very easily distracted , from his work-in-progress ...

I waited more than 2 months for 2 Woofer coil replacements .
While he was sitting comfortably at his Florida Condo ,
while my woofers were still in his Work Shop in Nova scotia (Can)

And that's when he replies to his emails
Good luck with Chris
Dried up ferrofluid would not cause the tweeters to measure 7K ohms.If they measure that then the coil is shot and needs to be replaced.

Followup
Voice coil aligement is done with a signal ,
Feed the tweeter with 2,000 HZ ( or more ) signal to the leads to get the coil vibrating ,,,
Then move the coil around so it has a nice & clean output , without any scratching ...
You have your center point ...

Tape the cone down with small peices of masking tape on the top & bottom ,,,
And start applying glue to the cone from 1 to 5 o'clock & 7 to 11 o'clock... and glue those sections down to the face-plate
Let it dry for about an hour
( You can now Close your signal source )
Gentyly Remove the Top & Bottom tape & glue these remaining sectons down
Let it dry compleatlly , and your done !
