i can't believe there's nobody who has something like this to sell...come on!!let's take a look in your garage or desk or black box or whatever...😀
I'm kind of new to this, so I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for.
What is a "classic quadrature incremental, 50 ppr, volume control encoder"? Is this a "rotary encoder" type of switch as can be found at www.Digikey.com ? Does it have pulsed, Gray or BCD coded output?
It might help you to find what you're looking for if people understand what exactly it is. ( Or I might be the only one that doesn't understand. But I would still like to learn what it is. )
Regards,
Tom

Those look expensive!
Have you considered using relatively inexpensive, encoders that are intended for commercial audio use, such as the Grayhill Series 62P or the mechanical Series 25L which can be seen at
http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T062/1515.pdf
and are less than $6 USD? Or is there something you specifically are looking for?
