Hello!
I bought a pair of Infinity RS-5001 and one tweeter is not working! Tweeter model Emit K riboon tweeter type! Are these tweeters repairable or are they condemned to remain as they are and not play again? Do these break down ofthen? Thank you! Oszkar

Oh, I responded in the other thread. I fused one emit while reproducing some highly distorted guitar ( amplifier clipping ) or maybe hip-hop, I don't remember. Search for used ones or replace both with some new tweeters that have about 90 dB/W/m sensitivity; impedance must be 8 Ω, I guess 🙄
It doesn't need to be ribbon or isodynamic, of course the original device was incorporated in this design and the crossover also designed for the purpose.
I see that the crossover is 3rd order (C-L-C) with a resistor to control Q on the L, and the variable resistor before the tweeter...

I have never worked on EMIT tweeters before, but if you are not getting a resistance reading one of two things has probably happened.... I have a pair of Infinity RS-5001 but one tweeter not working, got it out, I have put the multi meter on it no resistance...
