Wow, that does not look half bad! How would such a box be folded? Could one of Brian's XLS sheet be used? Or is this based on some other design I could look at?
I just checked the design and the only advantage is low extension at the expense of small sensitivity loss - but the box is really small. The 40 Hz MLTL I originally suggested does not still look bad to me either. Is there something wrong with it? I of course intend to place a HP filter to limit excursion and maybe even some EQ as you and Bjorno did.
I think I settled down to standard BR - 100 l volume including 60 cm long expanding vent, so it might be called a BVR I think. The outer dimensions will be 654 x 436 x 456 mm (HxWxD), the box volume is 70 l and the vent is expanding from 200 cm2 to 800 cm2.
Oh no, not again🙂 I found some inspiration here: Neighbor friendly dipole sub - at low volumes I think these would work as a near field subwoofer. Which might be exactly what I need for my smaller listening room to supplement the Hedlund horns with bass. And an even easier build. If it will not work well, it will be used as a flower pot stand or something like that🙂
Edit: Most probably, this will not work well, I looked up wrong data on the original woofer. The Fs is too high on the Eminence.

One of the pair I have was irepairably damaged (I bought it like that unfortunately). So I am left with just one - I think it is not worth trying to build one box - for the price of a new Delta12LF there are better subwoofer drivers...
I found this one from bjorno (cannot find the thread now for direct link). The Delta12LF will perform a bit worse than the suggested Fane 12-500LF - so it seems I will have some wood cut and if the performance is fine, I will buy a pair of Fanes, since the cost looks OK to me🙂

akvaro, you simed in 0,5pi...
Pelanj, you'll have to measure your own driver T/S, and it parameter will diverge from T/S. The higher order the box, the more sentitive to parameters it is. TH are kind of 6th order box depending on tweaking.

I measured the Delta12LFA - and (except for the Fs), they are more or less in agreement with the datasheet values. By measuring the impedance curves I actually found out there was something wrong with the second speaker.
Using semi-inductance parameters in hornresp change sometime things enough on it own, as did bjorno in post #15 using virtuixCAD inductance tool tweak. It's more of a concern with long voicecoil/or 4 layer voicecoil/high Le speakers/without demodulation rings, but yet his sim is reaveling.
I finally need to build a box that was designed in Hornresp and measure it🙂 I had some success with sealed and BR, time to move up to the QW league. I built only one ML-TL with Beta12CX designed by GM and that was for a long time my poor student's reference speaker and later served as a vocal PA for my band. So a success as well🙂
