Has anyone here used the Eminence APT series pro sound super tweeter for home hi-fi? It has good high sensitivity at around 105 dB and extends smoothly to 20 KHz according to the posted info. I am searching for a very good, smooth, yet affordable tweeter for use at 10 KHz and above for my speakers in my avatar. I need high sensitivity of 100 dB.

Is this in a similar sound category to the Fostex FT-17H and should I be looking there instead? I am after very good, not sibilant/tishy, natural sound.

The APT-80 works well, but becomes a bit beamy at higher frequencies. I like the Selenium ST324 better, and its a bargain.

The APT:80 is not flat to 20k - it shelves down above 10k iirc. That is still in the 100dB/watt/1m range, though, so it could work for you. I would recommend measuring the response in your box and designing a xover network using that info.
