Anyone test this driver yet? Has a hump in the midrange and a rising response. Wonder how it sounds on its own.

Haven't found too much information on this driver, a comparison with Fostex FE83 could be interesting given the above average sensitivity.My guess is it probably can't quite beat the TC9 though.
Well, it's made for (pro) arrays, so the response of the driver is probably matched to counter comb filtering. Plus, loads of DSP. I don't think trying to use it for single driver operation is worth it, considering the host of alternatives.
I've been busy running around and haven't had time looking at it again after my last post about it ( on another thread !). I did a quick comparison between the Alpha 6A and the Alpha 4 . It seemed to be nicer than the 6A. I also compared the Alpha 3 and Alpha 4. The Alpha 3 certainly had more HF than the Alpha 4 but I think I might like the Alpha 4 with a dome tweeter crossed over high ( 3/4 inch dome ?) than the Alpha 3 or many other similar types like the TC9 ( which I also have).
Want to measure its response first then build a crossover and do some listening tests. Will take a while. Don't have a baffle for them right now.
