Eminence Alpha 15A recone kit?

hello there,
i've 4 Eminence Alpha 15A speakers but 3 of them have their voice coil scraping with the central magnet.
I've not find any recone kit on the internet for these speakers, maybe due to their "low" price or because i'm not searching correctly.
Could any one help me on this? also, is there any way to change the voice-coil without to change everything?
Ps: I'm located in France.
thanks in advance

They *can* be reconed of course, I do it routinely here in Argentina, because here they cost 2X as much as in USA so repair is justified.
In USA you can get a fresh pair for same or less than parts cost plus 1 hour minimum Tech bench time, so it´s not done.

Maybe it´s justified in France ... what is the over the counter price of new units?
But then problem becomes sourcing the proper parts.

Nobody (that I know) offers a recone kit for it so you will have to assemble it out of spare parts.

Biggest problem is the voice coil, which is "too small" by 15" speaker standards, only 1.5" , while more popular sizes are 2" , 2.5" , 3" and 4".

I found one which will fit there: 1.522" Voice Coil VC4850-8 (1.522" ID, 1.5" FH, .500" WW) 8 Ohm - Speaker Exchange

Problem is you can not replace "just" the voice coil but also cone, spider, tinsel wires, dustcap, and gasket , because parts are assembled by gluing with very strong Epoxy; once hardened it stays so forever.

Plan B:*maybe* your voice coils are scratching because dust got inside (the dustcap is never perfect) and/or 15" cone stayed in the sun or got wet and "twisted sideways" making voice coil former scratch against polepiece.

If so, and if you dare, you can try recentering it.
Not 100% possibilities, closer to 60% or so, but hey, they are already dead/unusable.

If interested, I can post more detailed instructions.
