Hello all
I am almost finished building this kit . What have people done re the earth terminal on the back of the IEC connector . There is no info in the assembly instructions .
It would be my normal practice to Dremel the paint of the chassis and attach this earth point there - this would protect the user from a Hot chassis . Thoughts please !

That would be the proper thing to do. Perhaps you should contact Elkit and ask why this was omitted.
By all means contact Elekit, they are very responsive. A friend of mine bought a used 8600 from eBay and it developed serious issues because the original builder tinkered with the grounding scheme.Hello all

Elekit has an area on this forum under Marketplace-->Featured Vendors. Victor Kung can help you. Be sure to post some photos of your build. That is a great amp!
