I can order Hammond without any problems from Mousre which I will be doing for their PSU at least

eldarvanyar, Hammond is in Canada.
Hopefully some company knows how to get the transformers from Canada to UK.
Perhaps there is a Hammond distributor in the UK.

Hammonds made for PP EL84:

10 Watts, 8k plate to plate, with Ultra Linear taps, to 4, 8, and 16 Ohms. You can try Pentode mode, Ultra Linear mode, and Triode mode, all on the same transformer.

I recommend purchasing at least 1 to try, build it on a board, and see what you think.

I have one of those 10k plate to plate Hammonds.
I build low power push pull amplifiers in Ultra Linear mode.
I do not run the tubes at more than about 10 Watts per plate dissipation.
I have used that transformer with KT66, KT77, and 6L6GC.

Using a similar 10Watt, 10k plate to plate Ultra Linear transformer from Edcor, I built a similar amplifier with 7591 tubes.
It is in the Tubes / Valves Threads. it is called:

It may not be your 'cup of tea', but it is food for thought.

Maybe look for Z-565 Dynaco OPT's as they can be had as clones and are well regarded sonically likely as they have the proper interleaving. They also have the proper 25% UL taps if needed.

The originals have 8 & 16 ohms outputs and the clones can be had in 4 & 8ohms.
