Hello!, I was looking into making a PP El34 amplifer when it seems like it would be easier to just build two EL84 stereo blocks, and Bi-amp each speaker. Then I could build them at different times, making it easier on the wallet. and It would mean twice the Diy-ing!!! (the funnest part), but I am not quite sure, so I wanted to see what everyone thought
I was looking to use the (Simple EL84 Intergrated/power amp) seen on diyparadise, because of its amazing simplicity.
Will it truely sound better than an EL34 system? everyone says that it most definatly will, however I want to know for sure.
now the more trickey question, I have my Beloved JBL e60s, and they are capable of Bi-amping with their system impeadence of 8 ohms, however I am trying to figure out how to measure the impeadence of the two parts. should I just apply ohm's law and say 16ohms per speaker (Midrange and tweeter together, and the woofer seperate) or is there anyway to figure out?
I am dying to try a PP design, and I think the EL84 is the tube i'll choose

SY's Amp
I have built several from SE to PP EL84 (one of them is in DIY Paradise compact club, you'll see the one on top from jakarta was my first approach on PP amp ), I built many of them just to see how good a pp compared to SE. And the one that has excellent sound is SY's Red Light District. You also built Ian's Baby Huey with output is modified to Sy's technique (Using Leds at cathode and control the current trhough screen grid). Because on original Baby Huey sound is really depends on Capacitor on output CCS.
But that's is only my humble opinion.
