Hi has anyone bought the Nos EL34 svetlana winged c's from Langrex? I have tried to get more info from them about the tubes and their quality and I don't understand what I would be getting if I buy a matched pair. They are from the 90's with boxes branded Svetlana not SED the other thing I notice is that the silk screenings looks black rather than silver grey. I have read a lot of people saying that most people selling these now are selling the leftovers from the plant that could not be sold due to them being seconds or lower quality. Not saying that this is the case with Langrex as they have a reputation as a good dealer. But has anyone bought them from this dealer recently who can vouch for them, or should I just buy some matched re issue tungsols or something like that just to be sure. I understand that it is probably hard for dealers to know some times with Nos I guess a percentage of them are going to be faulty anyway.

With all valves the average is 10% faulty or not up to scratch. Mullard and Mazda offered a 10% discount to dealers, instead of a money back guarantee, many years ago.
Langrex will exchange them if faulty.
