el34 electroharmonix fat bulb break-in?

HEllo,

I just installed a set of the Electro Harmonix el 34 fat bulb tubes in dynaco mk3s. So far they are not my style and Im wondering if I can expect much change as they run in? Im hoping the midrange will come out and the treble will go away?

I had the JJs before and really liked them even though most people found the sound very laid back.

Fritz,

It's all a matter of taste.
You give them some more time to run in.
Still I would go for the US 6CA7 for deep bass and luscious mids.
The E34L Tesla were good too.

Suck it and see.

I trimmed the tweeter a bit and have them playing Ill see in a couple days.

Don't know where these EH where manufacured but people tell me some Russkies take about a week or so to run in.
Don't ditch'em yet.😉
