Effect of splicing 75ohm to twisted pair

My problem is this. The Phillips CDMPro2 has a spdif out on the board. It is a surface mount and very tiny. There is no way I can get a coax 75ohm to fit into the pins of the required connector. If I use perhaps two inches of a twisted pair and then splice into a 75ohm coax, will this effect the proper termination? I have never had this problem before so some guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks DF96. That was my feeling. The connector is so tiny I doubt that I could even prepare the pins so I have ordered some already made up and will take a pigtail out to a BNC or RCA. This is one of those damned SMD connectors designed to be worked on by gnomes-my big fat fingers and failing eyesight are just not good enough for this kind of work. A watchmaker would be challenged. Thanks again for confirming my suspicions. I also have a jitte reducer ahead of the DAC which should compensate for any jitter introduced.
