Errrm .. I think I might need the help of someone with a bit of knowhow in diagnosing lcd issues.

I have managed to accuire a 15" unbranded lcd monitor. it has a sharp LQ150X1DG51 lcd module in it. It stripped down very easily, and to the eye played movies very well (ood contrast and response times as far is my eye's could tell.

This is where my problem comes in during mock-up testing the panel lost the video signal and displayed virtical lines on the panel momentarily. I have not had any video output from the panel since! I checked to see if the panel was shorting on anything, but it all seemed insulated????

I have checked the ribbon cables for damage, but no damage is visable (to my eye) I have a funny feeling I have blown either the controler or the lcd itself. but i have no idea how.

Can someone give me some hints on some tests that i can perform to check this out??

here are some shots of the panel: --
