Thinking of buying an eee netbook to use as a music source, using a linux o/s. Will this work as good as a Windows Vista ?
Maybe I should wait for windows 7, or even a simplified windows 7 just for netbooks comming soon.?
The main thing i require is that the netbook provide a lossless playback of the audio files. I have converted all my CDs to lossless files stored on a external Hard Disk. I will use an external DAC to be connected to my Amp. I believe VISTA does away with the internal Mixer.
