I dont know Your schematic, maybe interstages or shunt caps.
I have giant bass, very detail and fresh sounding. I never will back to SE with OT....

I test the 6080WC in OTL and not sound fine to my ears.
And I like of the sound of direct heater triode...have much more details.
For me, until a transistor amplifier with a transformer in output sound better..
But is just my opinion. Good luck with your OTLs...

I doubt in Your way with OTL and without output cap /OCL/.🙄
Maybe You use output cap? That decrease quality of sound picture....

Very nice, some day I'll build some of my own transformers. My first will probably be a phase splitter XFMR for a push-pull triode project I have in mind. I have the bobbins, just need to take time to track down the laminations. .

If you need standard EI laminations Edcor has a good selection available.
