Hello,
I know I am a little late to the party, but I am looking to build pair of speakers along the Econowave style, just maybe not so econo....
For a compression driver I have the Celestion CDX1-1745 and I am looking to pair it with either the Dayton Audio H6512 or the B-52 PHRN-1014 with a screw on adaptor.
Which horn has proven to be the better choice?
Now for woofers, I have a line on a NIB pair of Fane Soverign Pro 12-300S woofers at a good price,
SOVEREIGN PRO 12-300S
How do they look compared to the Eminence Definimax 4012HO or the B&C 12PLB100?

B&C Speakers
I know Jeff B. liked the 4012HO and used it in a design for DIY Sound group and also used the Delta Pro 12-A.
A supercheap option (with low sensitivity) is the Dayton Audio DS315-8 12" Designer Series Woofer Speaker, Bill Waslo used it in an Econowave design.

Any comments on Woofer or waveguide choices?
Thank you,
David.

I hope that your asking for others to compare one horn to another doesn't limit the thread participation to those that have heard both. I'd be trying to look at it another way, and deciding what qualities it takes, and do these horns and woofers achieve that.
Starting with the simplest if we can assume that Bill has a valid design then I assume you can use that waveguide and upper crossover, and manage to slip a different woofer in if you need.
Otherwise you might want to review polars (and perhaps drawings of the waveguides).
