Many thanks for all your interesting replies peeps, I think I forgot to mention the driver I am gonna use, its the JBL GTX5-12 designed for cars, all TS available, Xmax >14mm and can be had for ~£40!! 275Wrms (stuff all this stupid peak speak)!
UNIBOX is great have come up with a 59Ltrs box with an all up weight of 24Kgs in MDF, weight was saved by reducing material thickness to 18mm and doubling up the front, the scrap being used for panel stiffeners. Now awaiting the mystical chinese IRAUD-350 class-D amp to make work (IMOP better than trying to make oneself without doing a PCB).
