I only get 0.64 volts on pins 8,11,12 of the 494

Also the transistors that connect to pin 8 also have 0.64 volts

Any ideas ?

That's too little for me to work with.

Do you have 12v on the PS FETs?

Yes I have 12 volts on the power supply fets .

On the small transformer near the 494 I also only get 0.64 volts on the windings .


What information do you need and I will provide it

Did you follow the circuit back from the transformer to see if you could find a break in the circuit or a defective component?

I followed it back to 2 transistors I will pull them from the board and check them

Pin 8 goes back to 3 transistors .

KTC3206 amd KTA1273

Do you happen to know of any good replacements for these ?

Are all defective?

Both 3206’s test fine but I swapped locations and now I have no 0.00 volts on pin 8,11,12 so 1 of them is defective and also the A1273 measures shorted .

They have all over heated at some point

Use the BD139 and 140.

I also found a smd diode marked 6.8 Y shorted

Is this a 6.8 volt ?

I’m gonna have to follow the circuit back even more since I replaced the transistors and diode amp still shows no life still get 0.64 volts on pins 8,11,12 of the 494
