Echo express card audio quality?

I bought an Echo Indigo IOX (express card) audio interface to allow me to use my Sony Vaio laptop to run ARTA, True-RTA and Visual Analyser as part of my audio measurement rig. I have previously been using an M-audio Transit with good results, but the Transit won't run full-duplex above a 48kHz sample rate.

The Indigo IOX runs full-duplex at 96kHz, and all my test software runs happily with it, but there is a problem.
There is high input noise on the right channel only. The input noise on the left channel is very good, but the noise on the right channel is more than 20dB higher below 1kHz, and about 10dB higher above 1kHz. The ouput noise appears to be ok on both channels. I am using the latest drivers downloaded from the Echo web site.

I have left a message about this on Echo's web site, but have not had a response. Given the good reviews this card gets, perhaps the Vaio might have an issue with its Express Card slot, although it seems unlikely.

Anyone with any experience of the Indigo IOX?

Thanks.
