I won this auction. It was not a Warner Power ballast. It was falsely advertised and the seller wouldn't refund. The received item is a Hansmann Electronic ballast for short arc lamp. It's up for sale. I wish I knew more about it but I don't. It would be atleast good for experimenting for the price.

What ever it's for, I'll be out $65 if it doesn't sell. It's so disappointing to come across people with such poor business ethics.

Anyways, what exactly is a light guide system used for?

Don't suppose you have any suggestions as to what I could use it for?

If you paid through paypal just take a picture of your item showing what brand it is and show paypal the auction in which he stated it was a different brand. They will take the money out of his account and put it in yours after they investigate it a little.

Then again you can just tell him your going to do that to his paypal account and he may just give you your money so he keeps his record clean.

If you paid via credit card then I would go through the paypal process to get your money back via the "not as described" reason. This probably will not work however as soon as PayPal gets back to you with the answer (if it is no) then initiate chargeback proceedings with your credit card company (you may want to call them now to let them know what is going on). By going through the PayPal stuff you are showing that you tried to correct it via PayPals system (and therefore usually you will not have a problem with PayPal if you go through their process first).
