i failed to see any mention of it in the add, i must be cockeyed....
power is actually dependent of the power traffo deployed with this board,
another limiting factor will be the heatsink size...
so discussing power without seeing these two is just academic discussions...

Nope You can get 800rms with +/-80 8ohms 1600rms on 4 ohms thats only reference that this amp can work from 40 to 100-+ but You need to put more transistors and more watts transformer

if thats the case, then his rms output is acctualy peak output.
Its not peak its RMS
its simple math.

You forgot to multiply by 2 because its +80 0 -80 so its 160volts not 80v and +/- 100 volts is +100 0 -100 ----200volts

if you get 798W here, then you need to tune your math skills.
if you get 1599W, then you need to consider that you are wrong regarding the way of calculating the power.

i see that you agree that you need +/-160V to get 1600Wrms at 8ohm.
why can you then not agree that +/-80V only give you 398Wrms at 8ohm?
the calculation is the same.
in theory you need +/-115VDC to get 800Wrms at 8ohm. in reality you need about +/-130VDC
So Im using 1500watt transformer +/-67v AC I get +/-90v DC
and Im getting 300watts no way
power is power You misscalculated something but I know that
with +/-90v you can easily get 800rms on 8 ohm clean its 180volts

in THEORY you CAN get: (90*0.707)*(90*0.707)/8=500W at 8ohm. reality is more like 350-400Wrms at 8ohm.

no i'm NOT wrong! i realy don't care if your transformer is 500VA, 1500VA or 5000VA it do not change anything!
