easy to find mechanical decoupling systems _ kind request for technical advice

Sand. It’s messy, but very effective at killing vibrations in bass cabinets.

About the third at the bottomis filled with sand:

I also used it in allmy speaker stands.

let alone for audible differences - they simply add to the store of snake oil
In my opinion it is always worth it because before reaching new horizons we have to start from what we have.
It seems that nowadays the state of the art of audio is this, maybe in ten years it will be better.

And in fact, as proof of the fact that perhaps we can agree, shortly before you had said the following
if it sounds subjectively better with such mods, then it's obviously worthwhile.
Which I totally agree with despite the following

Expectation bias is a powerful factor in how a system sounds to the listener/experimenter.
On which I can also quite agree, but on which there would still be a lot to exchange ideas.

Expectation bias probably exists, but what if you have no expectations regarding one material rather than another, which cost almost the same and from which you only expect that they cannot "sound" the same?

So, if I understood correctly, you could glue them, then apply metallic staples and then cover the sheets on the spot with a vinyl glue which, once dried, will have sealed them from the surrounding air...
i already have these lead loaded cabinets that worry me a little because the lead is exposed internally even if the box is closed
The lead sheets have been glued and fixed with staples to the panels I guess because it is important a good bonding between lead and wood
I can testimony that now they do not resonate as an empty box as before
I have a simple way to check for cabinet resonances Using this mechanism placed on all the panels and listen for amplification effect

the cabinet works as sound box
before and after the sound varies in volume
the idea is not mine I saw the representative of Fischer & Fischer speaker company using a similar mechanism on their speakers to show the lack of resonances

I could paint the exposed lead with some paint or resin Or keep it as it is and hope
I have also a JBL L19 and a Dynaudio Recital treated in the same way My friend had a lot of lead

There are foams designed for foundation isolation that are used in seismic areas. They are generally well damped but applied loads are critical to the function, IME if you don't have the mass to use larger sections you will exacerbate resonances in the horizontal plane. There is also sorbothane which works over a wider range of loads and is well damped, this too needs to be selected for applied loads but both options have engineering sheets that will allow you to pick the correct product for your application.

AHHH. The AR 93. Owned in early eighties for about 5 years. Poor man's AR 9. BUT the ideas were much better than execution. Thin with no really deep or mid bass. Maybe myroom but that was descent size. Midsized. Was not a balanced sound. Most people that heard it commented on tinny sound. Found a pair later for sale at fiend shop and they had professional molded. Used added massed loading to woofers. Really made a huge difference. Sorry for diatribe

Interesting
Wrong drivers selection xovers and cabinet
The mid bass and the tweeter don't need a box if the crossover point with the woofers is high enough
Two woofers back to back could be Omni up to 300 ?
More?
A panel could be enough I guess

Hi thank you for the very valuable advice Fwiu AR speakers have always needed current to wake up
I remember a guy using tubes with a pair of AR9 They were sounding like background music Then another guy brought a powerful qsc pro amp
Wow What a difference The bass came out immediately

Hi thank you very much and please excuse me I have a bad habit to write before thinking
Not all woofers are equal clearly Starting from the size for instance
My ideal speaker would be something similar to a shotgun mic
Very directional and with constante and controlled dispersion
Unfortunately bass frequencies go around the room freely The only way is to try to tame their reflections
Sorry i have another kind question
What happen if the wavelength of a frequency is bigger than the room size ?
My room is about 6 meters long like the 60 Hz wavelength
i have no chance to reproduce sounds below 60 Hz ? this is very important of course
the room size could fix a limit

I listen to an acoustic version of Schumann frequency 7.83 Hz, acoustic wavelength 144 ft. Even more surprising perhaps, the electromagnetic Schumann frequency wavelength is 24,000 miles. Bass frequencies down to 20 Hz are definitely audible on headphones, right? But, how do those wavelengths fit inside the head?
