No, "The Stranger" has nothing to do with Arabs, the Arab is just a random person and his murder from Meursault, is simply an incidental event dictated from the total of some random coincidences, according to the theory of "Absurdism" which described from Albert Camus in his other work “The Myth of Sisyphus”.
In fact, "The Stranger" is a fictional exposition of the theory of “Absurdism". I am not sure which of the two works written first from Albert Camus, because both were published during 1942.
In Wikipedia you can read a wholesale approach to “The Stranger”. In Greece has published a nice book which contains a literal translation of “The Stranger” and an excellent analysis of the theory of Absurdism, based on both of the above works of Albert Camus.
However it causes big wonder that even the Greek Academics provided with a powerful tool like the Greek language, they can’t give a clear image of what he wants to say Albert Camus. Nevertheless, they accept “The Stranger” as a complete work. I have read somewhere that even Jean-Paul Sartre can’t provide a rational - according to our common logic - interpretation of “The Stranger”. In my opinion, “The Stranger” is a unique work of its kind, and Albert Camus in this work is indeed a distant and enigmatical figure on our own common sense. He is by alone a “Stranger” among us.
Maybe, all of us we have a "Strange" hidden in the darkness of the unexplored area of our brain or soul.

Jack, you may know that I appreciate you very much (if it has any value to you) because it seems that you are a true scientist. A true scientist, apart from technological issues, is studying history, politics, economics, social issues et cetera. History is the biggest teacher. For example, each one who knows history he can understand very easy the reason of today’s economic crisis. ​

You know very well that, unfortunately, there is no real friendship between countries. At most there is sympathy between peoples. The so-called "friendly" actions between countries, dictated solely by the interests of their governments and particularly from those which support these governments. The case of Greece's independence from the Ottomans, which started with the revolution in 1821, was a lost cause at the middle of 1826. Until then, the revolution had brought independence only in Peloponnese. Then, the powerful fleet of the Ottomans ruled the Peloponnese. How the Greek revolution was saved then so as can be established in Peloponnese and then transported to the mainland, you can read in the entry of Wikipedia “Battle of Navarino”.
As for Lord Byron, was and is a famous person not only in Greece as the leading philhellene, but also as a leading poet of the school of romanticism around the world. In Greece Lord Byron have got the biggest honor. Today, there are statues (one shown in the attached picture) of him in several cities; his name is given in many streets; one of the largest municipalities of Athens has his name: Vyronas (Byron in Greek).
If you ask a "real educated" Greek, who is the most beloved foreigner in Greece the answer will be "The Lord Byron". If you ask the same Greek, who is the most hateful foreigner in Greece the answer will be "Von Metternich".

If there was a global infrastructure for people devoted to the handling transport checks and balances to ensure accuracy and fairness used in the handling of money

Cal, forgive me but i can't understand what you mean exactly. It is difficult to me, to translate and to understand exactly in which person is addressed your warning; and for what reason. English is not my maternal language, and i use dictionaries and translators to extract meanings. I can't interpret the sense of your phrase Since we are hovering right over the good ship politico exactly. You may don't consider all members as experts in English language and idioms. In the case that you the English-speaking people you consider, that any educated person it is natural to know English, you make a big mistake.
We have accepted 3 warnings from moderators. Why? We discuss here for social issues, and all members which participate in this discussion are educated and some are most clever from me and you. The border between social and politic issues is a very thin line. In such a case, which can be the judge to decide if the rules of forum are violated? In Greece, like in other civilized countries, we have enough levels in our judicial system. From the city court, up to the Supreme Court; and above all, AREOPAGUS. Yes, we have the ancient Greek judicial system in use. Thus, each one citizen or foreigner or illegal immigrant (either guilty or not) has the right to lodge an appeal against a decision of a lower Court, so as his case can be judged in a Court of higher level.
Can you tell me please, do we have the right HERE in this forum to lodge an appeal against the decision of a moderator for Sin-Bin? Or for closing a thread?
I think not.
I don't speak of course for punishments which imposed for obvious reasons, like crude insults against other persons.

Hovering over the good ship politico is simply my way of saying we are getting close to what we don't allow here. Talk of politics can escalate quickly into a free for all so we ask that you not discuss them here.

Dear Fotios

This is a private domain that accepts members. With our registration we automatically accept its policies and rules. The administration has some long time experience on what can be the way of keeping the place relatively serene, tidy, & rather on general topic. Hence its rules. Consider it as an open guest party but with a dress and manners code. The kind host will always reserve the right to kick out trouble or call it a night. The ''no politics'' rule is one of the house's long time cornerstones that proved wise. Cal was simply and humorously warning that this thread has gunpowder potential in case someone will cross to a heated political debate. So he meant that since we are just about touching down the pure politics vessel with this discussion, be prudent and remember the no politics or religion rules. Don't be surprised of any action if you don't. That's all.

Now that I said that, don't let me start about Gr....😀

Man, I live that, and I can tell you - it is the intellectual poverty that is worse. How I dream of being able to go back to college! You can get used to the material poverty, especially in America. Like you said, there is beer, but I often thirst for time in a library, time at school with people that know more than me.
I am surrounded by uneducated people 90% of the time and to talk amps with them is like speaking to a wall. DIYaudio is a refuge for me.
One thing really drives me though:
I truly believe learning makes you a better person, knowledge is power. To that end, I now return to my studies.....

I may say it, dangerous thing it, if a learned, trained man considers himself superior one at the others. This does not authorize with any kind of privileges above the rest of the men.
It is necessary to deserve the respect of other ones.
And to this the knowledge merely very little.
