EAR 8L6 50W/Ch 240 to 110V

> Post a picture showing clearly your power transformer

I think the problem is that the box is 4,300 miles away from Florida, in Manchester. And being possibly a very generous offer, he does not want to annoy his friend by demanding photos.

Running another 230V line in a US house almost certainly means adding a 2-pole (double-wide) circuit breaker, and US main breaker boxes are typically full-up. IAC it will cost $300 before any special drilling/fishing, without re-plastering.

I count 7 transformers and 700 dirty-users between me and my dam; and we don't take power off that dam any more (it kills fish), so perhaps twice that many transformers back to the converted coal boiler. What's one more? But I guess I am not an EAR kind of guy.
