Sorry, haven't got the willpower to pursue this right now.
But I'm sure the tape will be useful in other projects.

Np dude ! , well then ill just fidl around on my own 🙂 might make a new post when i got something working. since people are'nt jumping in with thoughts. maybe they do when something works at least..
Yeah, it seems that you're all on your own now. 😱
Anyway, thanks for the ride. It was quite fun while it lasted.
Who knows, maybe I'll hopalong later on.
Will keep this thread on subscription

Well got the VHB ..... and yeah this is so thin its complete a fail 🙁 i in the end managed to make 2 menbrames but the dielectic is either to low so its arcs. or my power suplly does not have enough power. or the menbrame is pierced somewhere. i tried serveral times no luck. i guess the only good use for it is indeed to use it as tape, because it does stick verry well 🙂 im thinking of buying the 4910 VHb or 4905. but i first have to recover from this major fail. 🙁 and maybe get a better power suplly source to rule out it is the high voltage at fault. because i could not get ANY movement.
The people online use those emco blocks for high voltage, but cant imagine they are powerfull at all.

Well, as it sems i have to increase the capacitors in my cascade, reduce the amount of stages since my ac supply can output 700volts, with 2 stages im already at 2800 volt instead of the 6 stages i had..... and must increase the voltage rating as well since 1 off them started to make noise. i must add a high omh resistor, as bleeder resistor.
the emco used in the youtube video deliverd 3 mA at 6000 volt (he used it to max 6 volt input) wich results in max 1.5 mA at 3kv.
Il try to order some 4905 (as soon as i get paid) as seen in the youtube movie, wich is not as fragile and we've seen it work so it must be a safe bet.
for now... ill just wait 🙂 and fix the power suply before the tape comes

well i got at least a result... finally so now i know the power suplly is more then enough to power an EAP. i taped 8 layers of VHB 4960 to each other, so overall 0.4mm then stretchs it 2.5 times so its somewhere around 0.15 mm thick. conductive layers are silicone lubricant 🙂 (wonder from wich part of the house that came from 😉 ) and cheap graphite lubricat powder for locks. to create a conductive paste that can stretch with the menbrame
here is a small and bad quality video, my phone sucks and there is not enough light

A small test with push pull eap. verry low output even for a moving menbrame of 4 cm2, i might be doing something wrong here.

hmm made a single eden one with sort of dome created by air behind the menbrame. that onle played louder, it was not push pull. but when it arcs once. you can start all over it burns a hole, and keeps arcing so you have to make a new menbrame 🙁.
Well i got the 4905 , and made 2 domes in push pull, i might still be doing something wrong here, i can ofcourse drive the 2 menbrames with seperate HV and trannie then it will work for sure. but i want to drive them both from one trannie and one HV, if possible at all.

there maybe is also some phase problems because the menbrames are 2 cm appart
