I am fooling around with some Eagle parts. Just wonder if anyone happen to have an Eagle library for the CMC teflon 9-pin tube socket? 🙂
Thanks.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

This is nonstandard, so you'll have to make the footprint unless someone else has. Don't forget the center shield pin.
I'm wondering if anyone has gone to the effort of creating this part (CMC B9A Noval tube socket) for Eagle yet?
I have imported a couple of tube socket libraries but cant find what I'm looking for. If it hasn't been done I suppose I will have to learn to create the part which doesn't seem an easy thing to do in eagle..
I would consider changing to another PCB software if this could be easier to achieve? I have been considering going to designspark PCB or something else to get around the board size limitation anyway but keen to hear any opinions on ease of use for tube circuit builds.

What is wrong with the libraries you've looked at already? It'll probably be easiest to just modify one of the existing footprints.
Modification would be necessary for pin placement on these sockets.
As I have not used eagle before and this is the first task Im doing I am lookong for some guidance on this.

I'd say watch some tutorials on making your own footprints, then apply that to modifying an existing one. Eagle is not famed for its intuitiveness though, so stick with it.
You'll be able to change pin spacing, hole size, etc without too much hassle.
