Dynavox ribbon tweeter RT-10, any experiences?

Meaningless Impromptu tweeter test of random lying around in the office for cross reference.
The Dynavox. Bit disappointing.

Can you tell me which dayton amt you measured? I had few models and decided to use small one.
Yes, after some rummaging AMT2-4. It looks like the best of the bunch in some ways, but not completely convinced sound wise yet. I would measure a foster, but I don't have one 🙁.
I think next to try and graft it on to current-stagnating-project-speaker in place of AMT and see what happens.

Grafted into BS1000 project speaker, in place of AMT, crossing over a around 5k, with also a big notch dialed in to the DCX at 4.8k. Only had it running for an hour or so, and actually quite impressed. I am still forming an opinion as to how bigger thumb print it has, but instantly obvious, very clean, effortless and unfatiguing, and "transparent" in a way that that quality is conspicuously absent to this degree in most of the other tweeters I have been playing with. Not quite as sweet as my beloved stacked linaeum tweeters, but pretty good nonetheless. Pleasantly surprised, and feel it could quite well with 2 inch aluminum Dayton dome mid based speaker, which I am currently plotting.

Just for my own satisfaction, there were a couple more tweeters that I wanted to look at;

Some unscrewing and wire snipping later, probably a HIVI RT1C which I had dropped into some dead-purple-dome holes in Wharfedale Triton a few years ago, which did not really work. Probably need some cross over attention by the looks of this,
HIVI RT1C.png

the purple dome of Dovedale, Triton etc

Which has some good qualities, but really fails badly on some material with a lot of HF.

And whilst I was trying to find a name for the HiVi ribbon tweeter, I stumbled across this:

which led to this, claimed as a replacement for the above,
emit tweet copy.jpg

and then back to this, of which I am more familiar.

So I conclude that this is a copy of the Infinity Emit tweeter, so I can go and look up some reviews on that, and all is good in the world. I quite like it actually, see if I can snag a super cheap pair on ali.... dream on.

What's your baffle size, measurement distance, etc.? Tweeter flush-mounted? (It matters.) Is your environment anechoic?

Someone said 'very nice data' - maybe they meant the pretty colors, because I didn't see mention of your measurement environment.

You could even use foam core board at these frequencies, but it looks like you just screwed the tweeter to a cabinet and said 'good luck'.
